Home Battery Rebates in Australia
Every Australian state offers different battery storage incentives. From Victoria's $8,800 rebate to Queensland's Battery Booster and the ACT's interest-free loans — find out what's available in your state.
Browse by State ↓Federal Battery Incentives
The primary federal mechanism for home batteries is through the Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) scheme. When solar panels are installed with a battery, the solar component generates STCs which reduce the upfront cost. Batteries alone do not generate STCs.
Additionally, battery storage systems installed by businesses may qualify for the Federal Small Business Energy Incentive — a 20% bonus tax deduction on eligible asset purchases up to $100,000.
