Overview

The Alchemy Charge 15A EVSE bridges the gap between the slowest 10A portable and a full Level 2 wall charger. If you can have an electrician install a 15A outlet, you get a meaningful speed increase without committing to a fixed wall charger installation.

15A Outlet Requirement

Standard Australian homes have 10A GPOs throughout. A 15A outlet requires a licensed electrician to install a dedicated circuit — typically the same cost as installing a low-end wall charger. Weigh up whether installing a proper 7kW wall charger makes more sense.
